Shortly after thatWarner Bros. announced MultiVersus, another mascot platform fighter drawing on the extensive catalog of IPs at WB’s disposal likeBatman, Shaggy fromScooby-Doo, and Finn and Jake (as separate fighters) fromAdventure Time. Similar to howNickelodeon All-Star Brawlmarketed the Garfield announcement, players can tune into IGN on February 3 for what is being considered a “big update.” Included in the post is a picture ofNickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s fighter select screen, withTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Leonardo, Michelangelo, and April O’Neil being selected for players one through three, and player four being unselected.

The largest sort of announcements that fighting games can typically do are the reveal of new characters. One need only look at the anticipation that went into everySuper Smash Bros. UltimateDLC fighter announcement as proof of the profound impact a new character can bring.

When it comes to this game, there are a multitude ofcharacters that can be added toNickelodeon All-Star Brawl, especially as there are some glaring franchise omissions. FromMy Life As A Teenage Robot’s Jenny, the Crimson Chin fromThe Fairly Oddparents, or even Rocko fromRocko’s Modern Life, Nickelodeon’s history of programming is brimming with potential.

Based on the characters selected in the post’s image, it would seem thatNickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s next fighter is likely anotherTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtlecharacter. The obvious choices would be rounding out the core of the turtles themselves by adding either Raphael, Donatello, or even Master Splinter, but they could also go the route of adding another human fighter like Casey Jones or Shredder himself. Only time will tell though, as in the end, this could be a big misdirect for the legendary Hugh Neutron or some other announcement entirely.
