One Piece’sWano Country arc is edging closer to its conclusion with each passing chapter and after the reveal of Wano’s true history along with Pluton last week, it is clear that the arc’s major revelations have been made now. Having spent nearlytwo weeks in Wano after the conclusion of the war, it is time for the Straw Hat Pirates to leave the land.One Piece1056 focused heavily on this as the crew prepared to depart the island where they spent, quite possibly, the longest time on any island.
At the same time, the chapter also gave fans an insight into things that have been happening around the world with regard tosome of the former Shichibukai. What’s more, some very interesting decisions were made in the land of Wano by the Red Scabbards, who now prepare to defend their country with all their might as Luffy’s group seems ready to depart.One Piece1056 was full of some incredible moments and sets up the crew heading to a different island in the following chapter.

The Red Scabbards In Wano
The Nine Red Scabbards took up quite a big portion of the chapter as Green Bull’s attack on Wano open their eyes to the reality that Kaido was a deterrent in Wano Country. His defeat means that Wano is now open for the enemies to attack. For that reason, the Nine Red Scabbards must be the shields of the land and, at the same time, Momonosuke must mature into a leader strong enough to protect the country from any invaders. Even the leaders of the Mokomo Dukedom, Inuarashi, and Nekomamushi, decided to stay back in Wano and made Carrot the next leader of Zou.
This confirms thatCarrot won’t be joining the Straw Hat Crew, after all, contrary to popular belief. Along with her, Otama, who was also a candidate for being the next Straw Hat ended up staying behind in Wano to learn the ways of a kunoichi and eventually join Luffy when she learns ninjutsu. At the same time, Sukiyaki, the old Shogun of Wano, opened up about his identity to everyone. With the information that he holds, the future of the country will now be more secure than ever, and key information will finally be passed down once again to the next generation.
The End Of The Pirate Alliance
A few days later, the Straw Hat Pirates finally look ready to depart the land of Wano and set off to the next destination. With the Log Pose of the New World, Law, Luffy, and Kid each choose one island to head to. The pirate alliance is nearly over, and they have accomplished their goal to take down the Emperors and shake up the order. Law and Luffy joined hands in Punk Hazard to take down Kaido and that goal has finally been accomplished.

In Wano Country, Eustass Kid ended up joining hands with the two in an attempt to take down Big Mom and Kaido together. The pirate alliance was certainly successful and the fall of two Emperors is proof of that. In doing so, they accumulated huge bounties on their heads and established themselves as Great Pirates of the new era. Now, each of them is heading in a different direction but all eyes are on the One Piece. Luffy has three Road Poneglyphs in his possession, while both Kid and Law have two each. The race for the One Piece is very much alive.
The Cross Guild
Perhaps the most interesting part of the chapter was the Cross Guild, which was mentioned to the fans by Eustass Kid. One ofthe new Four Emperors of the Sea, Buggyseems to have established a completely new organization that goes by this name. Surprisingly, his underlings are some big shots of theOne Pieceworld. Dracule Mihawk, one of the former Shichibukai and the World’s Strongest Swordsman, is one of its members.

Along with him, Sir Crocodile, another former Shichibukai and an Impel Down escapee, has also joined the organization. With all that, added to all the other allies that Buggy currently has, it makes sense for him to be one of the Four Emperors. The Cross Guild seems to be quite a dangerous organization that are going out of its way to hunt down Marines. Buggy has issued bounties on all the Marines and made them the hunted for the first time. Surprisingly, no mention of Boa Hancock was made in the chapter and fans expect her to pop up sooner rather than later.
The Man Marked By Flames
Towards the end of the chapter, Eustass Kid revealed that to claim the One Piece, he needs to seek out the man marked by flames. Who exactly this person could be is something that the fans don’t know just yet, but it appears that he has some sort of information on the One Piece. Given that the Roger Pirates arethe only people to have made it to Laugh Talein over 800 years, it is highly likely that this person is a former member of the pirate crew. It is also possible that this person is one of the survivors of a near-extinct race, or a race that was allied with the Ancient Kingdom in the Void Century and, thus, possesses a great deal of information about the treasure of One Piece itself. For now, only Kid seems to be seeking him out. However, by the looks of it, Trafalgar Law also seems to hold some information pertaining to him. The identity of this person remains unknown at the moment, however, it will likely be revealed to the fans in the next few chapters.
With the crew ready to depart from the land of Wano, Yamato, who most expect to join the crew at this point, looks set to head out on a grand adventure with Luffy. In a manner similar to Oden, Yamato could end up leaving the land of Wano finally after all the years of captivity. In him, the crew gains an incredibly powerful fighter and someone with a grand dream in his eyes. Whether Yamato joins the crew is something thatOne Piece1057 will answer, however, for that, the fans will need to wait as the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is on break next week.
