Bond Attacks inOne Piece Odysseyare basically the big and bombastic moves that the series is known for. Stuff like Luffy’s Gear transformations, Sanji’s Diable Jambe, Franky’s Radical Beam, and so on. But, Bond Attacks take it a step further and combine these iconic super moves together to create these unique team-up attacks using words from each attack to create a true word jumble.

Each Bond Attack includes different crew members, has different effects, and may even attack different areas. Players unlock these Bond Attacks steadily throughout the course ofOne Piece Odysseyas they re-acquire more and more of the Straw Hats' memories and experiences. So, let’s go over which Bond Attacks seem to be the most useful overall in thisbeautiful Grand Line-spanning JRPG, ranked from least to most useful.
8Soul Franky Swing Arm Boxing Solid
Starting things off with one of the Bond Attacks unlocked a bit further down the road, it’s the combo attack between Nami, Brook, and Franky called the Soul Franky Swing Arm Boxing Solid. Now, dedicatedOne Piecefans will be able to pull out the words linked to each crew member in there, as Soul Solid is one of Brook’s iconic moves and Franky Boxing is pretty iconic for him too (though that does just leave ‘Swing’ and ‘Arm’ for Nami).
In any case, this combo attack has the effect of dealing a good amount of damage to a single target at long range for only three pips of Bond Charge. Plus, it also has a chance of both slowing or freezing the target hit, which are two of the more debilitating status effects in the game.

7Cloven Flambage Diamond Party Shot
For much of the same reason Nami, Brook, and Franky’s Bond Attack is on here, so is Brook, Chopper, and Sanji’s. Their attack named Cloven Flambage Diamond Party Shot (With Cloven Diamond being Chopper, Flambage Shot being Sanji, and Brook being the Party) is another single-target long-range attack.
However, instead of lowing and potentially freezing the target, this one substitutes the Freeze for the Sleep status effect. Not much difference in terms of damage otherwise, it mostly comes down to personal bias.

6Cloven Radical Skull Roseo Metel Blast Beam Bond Art
Next up is a combo attack between two of the ‘cowards’ of the Straw Hat crew and the big cyborg who isn’t afraid of anything. This three-‘man’ barrage including Chopper, Usopp, and Franky is the first Devil Fruit-specific Bond Attack on here.

This not only deals heavy damage, but it also deals extra damage to Paramecia-type DF users. Additionally, it’s an attack that costs more Bond Charge, but in response also hits all enemies at all ranges. And of course, the Cloven/Roseo come from Chopper, the Skull/Blast come from Usopp, and the Radical, Metel, and Beam come from Franky.
5Gum-Gum Cuatro Jet Cross Shock Bazooka
Finally, there’s a Bond Attack involving the actual captain of the Straw Hats, Monkey D. Luffy. This team-up attack involving Luffy, Chopper, and Robin is once again very similar to the first two Bond Attacks on here. It’s a 3-cost Bond Charge attack that hits one target at long range and has a chance to inflict any of two potential status effects, those being Slow and Faint. And, as players quickly learn in this game, status effects are a big part of combat.
However, because Luffy is involved, this attack does seem to deal a tad more damage, or at least it ‘feels’ like it does. Not only that, but Faint is a status effect that more enemies inOdysseyseem vulnerable to as a whole than both Freeze or Sleep.

4Cloven Tiger Trap Roseo Pound
Funnily enough for an entry ranked this high up, this Bond Attack is available pretty early on inOne Piece Odyssey(right around the timefast travel is unlocked). It’s a Bond Attack involving the Straw Hat’s doctor, sniper, and swordsman (Chopper, Usopp, and Zoro), and it’s the last of the 3-cost, single-target, long-range Bond Attacks on here. To break it down, the Cloven/Roseo comes from Chopper, the Trap comes from Usopp, and the Tiger comes from Zoro.

It’s unclear if the ‘Pound’ comes from either Usopp or Zoro (maybe both), as both characters have attacks that use this word in them. Now, the only reason this ranks the highest overall is simply that Bleed is a more directly punishing status effect than Faint, Sleep, or Freeze. All three of those will disable an enemy if they’re inflicted but Bleed deals additional damage, and more damage is always better.
3Gum-Gum Dragon Fire Pistol Twister Star
For as rare as Logia Devil Fruits seem to be inOne Pieceas a whole, Logia users pop up pretty often inOdyssey. The reason for this is the Straw Hats are going through all of their past experiences and memories to regain them in this game, meaning they’re fighting a lot of the iconic villains from previous arcs. And, Logia users are the ultimate antagonist of an arc (take Crocodile, for example) more often than not simply because of the absurd amount of power a Logia Devil Fruit gives them by default.
Now, what does this have to do with the Gum-Gum Dragon Fire Pistol Twister Star? Well, this attack deals heavy damage to Logia users specifically. Turns out Luffy (Gum-Gum and Pistol), Usopp (Fire and Star), and Zoro (Dragon and Twister) figured out a combination attack that counters Logia users specifically. Plus, this attack is another one that hits all targets in all areas, which is always nice.

2Gum-Gum Mouton Gattling Tempo
Sadly there isn’t a Bond Attack inOdysseythat includes the Monster Trio (Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji), but this is pretty close. Plus, this rag-tag team of Luffy, Nami, and Sanji is almost as classic as it gets (if Sanji was switched out for Zoro, and they were in their classic outfits). In any case, this is the anti-Devil Fruit Bond Attack, as it deals heavy damage to all Devil Fruit users of any type.
This attack allows people who aren’t super familiar with every DF or thosewho aren’t keen on using Usopp(who is part of both the other DF-specific Bond Attacks) another option. But, it is another one that uses quite a bit of Bond Charge, 6 pips with every use to be precise. Still, it does fantastic damage, hits all enemies in all areas, and looks great too.

1Thunder Lance Fliper Caliber Phoenix Shot
And finally in first place (unsurprisingly) is the most expensive Bond Attack which includes 4 crew members instead of the usual 3. This one has Nami, Robin, Sanji, and Zoro all working together to destroy Zoan Devil Fruit users (such as acertain CP9 Zoan-type boss character). The Thunder/Lance are Nami’s, the Fliper is Robin’s, the Caliber/Shot are Sanji’s, and the Phoenix is Zoro’s.
It’s a bit of a shame that the Zoan-specific Bond Attack costs a whole 8 pips of Bond Charge, but because the damage output, in general, is so high it’s still worth using in almost any scenario.

One Piece Odysseyis available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
