The comparison from this Reddit user shows how accurate the spray is to The Rock, but it’s missing the shading that highlights the half of his face with the lifted eyebrow. The Rock often turns his head when striking this pose, as it emphasizes the intensity of the open eye while hiding the one that’s mostly closed.

Though Mauga’s spray is a subtle nod to The Rock, it’s unmistakable that he’s making the same facial expression. The homage may draw inspiration from both The Rock and Mauga frequently referencing their Samoan heritage.
