A perceptiveOverwatch 2player has noticed a small visual error for Ashe during one of the hero’s highlight intros when she’s using her default skin. While there has been seemingly no end to the bugs plaguingOverwatch 2since its launch early last month, this particular glitch is thankfully not too impactful to players.

Overwatch 2has been a massively popular titlethroughout the first month of its life, hitting a record player count within the first few weeks due to its status as a free-to-play title for all players. Unfortunately, though, it hasn’t been without its issues -Overwatch 2’s launch period was thwarted by server crashes and painfully long queues as a result of DDoS attacks, and the game has been plagued with bugs ranging from hilarious to disastrous, some of which have even caused a couple of heroes to be temporarily removed from the game.

Reddit user tifakoro made a post with an attached screenshot of Ashe, showing that a part of one of the character’s new highlight intros reveals some mesh clipping issues when the hero has her default skin equipped. This visual clipping error can be seen above Ashe’s upper lip, leading some fans to point out the resemblance to a mustache or mole. This issue only seems to occur during the animation for one of Ashe’s new highlight intros that is unlocked through thebattle pass that was recently introduced with the launch ofOverwatch 2.

This unfortunate oversight has actually turned out to be quite entertaining for the community, with some fans joking that the appearance of Ashe having a mustache is due to her cosplaying as her Omnic companion, B.O.B. Ashe’s new highlight intro has been just one of many new cosmetic unlocks available inOverwatch 2’s battle pass, which offers players a wide range of skins, highlight intros, sprays, and more for many of the game’s heroes. Although some of these items are free, the optional premium battle pass offers the chance to unlock everything on the pass, including Genji’s mythic Cyberdemon skin.

WhileOverwatch 2’s range of cosmeticsare typically well-polished, occasional rendering mistakes such as this are inevitably discovered by perceptive players sooner or later. It has unfortunately become quite common for certain people in the gaming community to harshly criticize developers over mistakes like this, which only degrades the gaming space for players and developers alike.

On the flip side, it’s certainly understandable for some players to be upset when content, especially that which they paid for, isn’t up to the quality they expected. Regardless, players can at least be relieved that this strange bug isn’t instead a severe one that causes Ashe to beremoved fromOverwatch 2until the next patch like Bastionand Mei unfortunately experienced.

Overwatch 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
