Summary

AnOverwatch 2fan has discovered that the new Funky Doomfist skin has a strange highlight intro problem. Highlight intros have been a prominentOverwatch 2cosmetic since the game was released, but this Doomfist one may require some adjustment.

The game’s predecessor offered many cosmetics of its own, and thankfullyOverwatch 2players could carry forward whatever they had collected before. This includesclassicOverwatchskins, emotes, sprays, voice lines, and more. As more cosmetic options have been added to the game via battle passes and the in-game shop, there are many ways for players to express themselves during their matches. Highlight intros play after every match, but are exclusive to the person who made the play of the game. However, while observing multiple Doomfist Highlight Intros, a player noticed an issue when pairing one with the hero’s new skin.

Reddit user Eastern-Chemistry-54 recently shared anOverwatch 2clip displaying two different Doomfist skins with the same Highlight Intro. The gamer first selects the Bonebreaker skin with the Uppercut highlight intro. The video showstheOverwatch 2tank heroflexing his fist before spinning around and performing the uppercut. While it’s hardly noticeable, his big fist shakes as it’s clenched just before the flashy maneuver. The clip then shows off the Highlight Intro with the new Funky skin, and the difference between the two is clear. With the Funky skin equipped, Doomfist shakes his fist significantly more before the namesake move.

It’s currently unclear if the Funky Doomfist Highlight Intro is meant to be more shaky or if it was an oversight from Blizzard. Because other skins show the Highlight Intro in the same state as with the Bonebreaker skin equipped, there may indeed be an issue with the Funky skin. Given that Blizzardcontinues to updateOverwatch 2, this skin may see adjustments in a future patch.

Overwatch 2players can acquire the flashy Doomfist skin by buying the Funky Doomfist bundle for 2,100OverwatchCoins. The bundle includes this skin, Get Down Highlight Intro, Disco Ball Weapon Charm, and Funky Fist Name Card.OverwatchCoins come in specific incrementslike 500, 1,000, 2,200, 5,700, and 11,600. The pack of 2,200 Coins, which covers the Funky Doomfist Bundle, costs $19.99. The extra Coins left over will remain on the account, allowing players to use them for their next in-game purchase.
