FindingOverwatchfanart on the internet isn’t difficult at all, with talented artists creating myriads of pieces for every character in the game. However, stumbling acrossOverwatchfanart in real life is a different matter entirely.
One fan of the series was surprised when they found a piece of fanart ofOverwatch’s Tracer on the wall of a burger shop. However, the crossover subject of that art was even weirder, puzzling fans.

Reddit user FlopsMcDoogle shared an image of the art piece, which they found in a restaurant called The Burger Shop in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The image shows Wile E. Coyote ofLooney Tunesfame decked out from head to toe in Tracer’s iconic classic outfit fromOverwatch. Everything from the gloves to the goggles are present, with ‘Coyote’ written on the pant leg, and Wile E. Coyote casually adjusting his glove while looking over his shoulder. The text ‘Cool is what Cool does’ is also present, which got a chuckle out of some fans.
The origin of the art is unclear, as one user discovered a seemingly identical version of it hosted by a French artist on Deviantart. It’s not clear which is the original, though it’s unlikely that they were both created by the same artist, given the distance between locations. In any case, fellow fans were amused by the mash-up, with some wondering why they would have chosen Wile E. Coyote for the role when the endlessly unreachable Road Runner would have arguably been a better choice. Others were quick to point out that this would make a funny skin to include in the newMultiVersusgame, which has broughtBugs Bunny of Looney Tunesto brawl. In any case, several noted that Wile E. Coyote probably still wouldn’t be able to catch the Road Runner, even with time-traveling capabilities from Tracer’s gear.
Some were surprised that a restaurant would have fanart like this on the walls, pointing to potential copyright concerns. However, there have been multiple instances ofgame-related art appearing in restaurantsand other retailers over the years, which have seemingly gone unscathed even when copying images directly from the games. This one heavily modifies both subjects, which might make it less likely to be a problem. A bigger concern would likely be whether it was copied from an original work by another artist.
Looney Tuneshas been around since the 1930s, and its presence as a pop culture classic seemingly isn’t going anywhere. It remains to be seenifOverwatch 2can reach the same level of hypeand excitement that the original game did, but even if it falters, the fans ofOverwatcharen’t letting their favorite characters fade away anytime soon.
