Summary
When thePokemonseries first arrived on North American shores back in 1998, Mythical and Legendary Pokemon were few and far between. Fast forward two decades or so, however, and there are now 77 Legendaries and 23 Mythical Pokemon, which, unsurprisingly, perhaps, can sometimes make it a little tricky to keep track of them all.
Indeed, with a combined total of 100, these once rare creatures now make up almost 10% of the total number of Pokemon in existence, with the majority of them featuring across multiple generations ofPokemongames. This list contains each and every one of them, as well as information about their types, base stats, and the games in which players have been able to catch them.

Updated June 01, 2025, by Tom Bowen:The two DLC expansions for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet introduced a bunch of new Mythical and Legendary Pokemon, bringing the combined total up to the 100 mark. The Indigo Disk also saw 25 returning Legendary Pokemon added to the Gen 9 games, as well as a popular Gen 5 Mythical. This list of every Mythical and Legendary Pokemon has been updated to reflect these changes.
