APokemonfan has created a concept of what Venusaur could look like if it ever received a Ghost/Grass-Type revamp in a future Pokemon game. Venusaur is a classic in the Pokemon universe. It was introduced in thefirst generation ofPokemongames, and that is one of the reasons why it’s so popular among fans even to this day. Although the number of existing Pokemon has increased significantly since Gen 1, Venusaur still has a special place in the hearts of many.

There are severalPokemon with regional forms, and in most of these cases, the Pokemon have a different typing compared to their original forms. This has never been the case with Venusaur, as it’s a Pokemon that has always been strictly a Grass/Poison-Type. All the forms in its evolutionary chain have a frog-like appearance, hence its Poison typing, and the bulb on its back progressively blossoms into a beautiful flower, giving it its Grass typing.

A member of the Pokemon subreddit recently shared a different view on the classic SeedPokemon. Gralala22 turned Venusaur as well as its previous evolutionary forms into a Ghost/Grass-Type Pokemon, removing its original Grass/Poison-Type. Rhis version of Bulbasaur gives off an unsettling vibe, especially when one focuses on its menacing eyes. Instead of beautifully grown leaves and a perfectly-shaped bulb, Ivysaur now has dry, yellowish leaves and a flower with ripped petals growing on its back. Lastly, the tree-like structure on Venusaur’s back has been replaced by a dead tree with rotting leaves; its blue hue is gone, and he now has a spooky, purple skin tone.

In the comment section, another member of the community pointed out how the original poster did a great job but joked that they had also ruined a piece of their childhood by creating a wicked version of what they had always known as an otherwise adorable and sweet Pokemon. Despite the contrast between the two versions of Venusaur, it’s certainly interesting to see a different outlook on a classic mon, especially considering howGhost-Type Pokemonare generally spooky creatures with an eerie vibe, its exact opposite.

Even though certain Pokemon have been around for years, fans of the franchise still enjoy coming up with new ideas for their favorite pocket monsters. Not too long ago, another redditor showed off theirconcept of Litwick as a human; fans were impressed and commented how much it looked like a character straight out ofPokemon Conquest.
