The world ofPokemon GOhas a lot going on this month. March is full of big updates, events, and changes for the mobile AR game. In addition to therecently announced Shadow Bonusthat totally changes how Shadow Pokemon will be used in the game, players also have a month full of opportunities to catch different Legendary Pokemon.
Although tier 5 Battle Raids are focused on Thundurus for at least the first few weeks of March, every weekend is going to offer an exciting opportunity to catch a different Legendary creature with the chance for a shiny. This month of Legendary Raids inPokemon GOlines up perfectly with the start of warmer weather in many areas and should make for a busy month of raiding.

Every weekend this month will feature a different Legendary Pokémon in five-star raids! For the entire month of March, you’ll receive an attack boost when you raid with friends.
Darkrai Special Raid Weekendwill happen from Friday, Aug 05, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, July 30, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Darkrai!
Altered Forme Giratina Special RaidWeekend will happen from Friday, July 01, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, July 30, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Altered Forme Giratina!
Cobalion Special Raid Weekendwill happen from Friday, June 29, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, August 06, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time. These Cobalion will know the event-exclusive attack Sacred Sword. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Cobalion!
Lugia Special Raid Weekendwill happen from Friday, June 14, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, August 08, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. local time. These Lugia will know the event-exclusive attack Aeroblast. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Lugia!
