The final month of the Season of Go has arrives andPokemon GOplayers have a lot of activities to enjoy. TheGO Fest Finaletakes place later this month, in addition to a big Bug-type themed event. Fans of Battle Raids have a lot to be excitement about as well, thanks to the return of some very powerful Legendary Battle Raid bosses.
The first week of August puts Palkia in thetier 5 Battle Raid spotlightand gives players another chance to battle and catch the dual Water- and Dragon-type. Palkia is particular powerful and has lots of great uses in thePokemon GOmeta game, so trainers will likely want to take advantage of this opportunity to add a few more to their collection.

As a dual Water- andDragon-type Pokemon, this Legendary is going to be weak against only Dragon- and Fairy-type attacks. That limits the counter roster options quite a bit and players without extensive collections may need to get creative. That said, there are some powerful counters available for veteran trainers who have been assembling a powerful collection from previous Battle Raid bosses over the years. It may require some TM use to get the idea move sets, so be sure to keep an eye on those recommendations, as well and make any updated before the fight.
Best Palkia Counters (August 2022)
Dragon-types are a little on the rare side, but players who have been around for a long time may have some of these powerful counters saved up. Even if a trainer doesn’t have the ideal lineup, they should be able to get through the fight by entering with a large enough group (probably at least four or five allies) and sticking to Palkia’s weaknesses. Players assembling a Dragon/Fairy counter roster for the first time may need to spend some resources getting things in order. Burning through someStardust, TMs, and Candyahead of time can be costly, but it does help ensure fewer failed attempts when it comes time to battle.
That should be everything players need to know for the big fight. Be sure to check back over the coming weeks for more strategy guides, news, and updates as the final weeks of theSeason of Goplay out in the mobile AR game. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
