The journey of aPokemon GOtrainer can be long, but it’s seemingly a little too long for some Pokemon. A glitch within the game is causing Buddy Pokemon to completely collapse after extended walks with players. This isn’t exactly ideal for trainers who need their Buddies to earn rewards. Thankfully, their condition can be remedied with a simple fix.

Having a Buddy Pokemon tag along inPokemon GOis a rewarding experience not only because it nets trainers Candy needed to evolve but also because it allows them to travel with their favorite Pokemon. A recently discovered glitch, however, makes it seem as if the Pokemon would rather sit this journey out. Reddit user u/abhijoshi2008 recently posted an image of their Azumarill facedown on the map along with the caption: “My buddy Azumarill fainted during a long walk.”

Of course, this isn’t really the case. The condition of this unfortunate Azumarill is due to a visual glitch that makes Pokemon appear like they’ve passed out. The Reddit user followed up on their post with a solution to the glitch, saying all that’s required is a restart of the game. Any other players that encounter this glitch can do the same and everything will be back to normal. AMarill Limited Research eventjust concluded on Sunday, so there may be a lot more fainting Marills and Azumarills before the glitch is finally fixed.

When not dealing with fainting Pokemon, trainers can take on Team GO Rocket, who have returned to the game after a lengthy absence. They arrive with powerful leaders, which are also available to challenge. Currently, after meeting certain conditions,Pokemon GOplayers can challenge leader Sierrato a battle. While they’ll only have to beat three Pokemon to win, Sierra has seven in total and there’s no way of knowing which combination she’ll throw out, so it’s best to be prepared.
