Pokemon GO’sFriend Fest began on November 27th, 2019, and there is plenty to do. As with all thePokemon Goevents, this one is a very limited time. Players will have until December 2nd to grab all the “family themed” Pokemon waiting for them out in the wild along with some other special features. So if players want to catch ‘em all, they’ll need a guide.

Family-Themed Pokemon

Family-themed Pokemon will spawn at a higher rate this week, giving people more chances to catch the brand new shiny Niodoran that came along with this event. The list of family-themed Pokemon includes:

Of these family-themed Pokemon, the new Nidoran can be shiny, but also Magnemite andDiglett (which was added as a shiny back in Spring). So players will hopefully have loads of chances to be able to grab the shiny versions of these four Pokemon.

Additional Trade Per Day

During the Friend Fest, players will get not one trade per day, but two. Special trades are Pokemon exchanges that can be done with with other players.Trading Pokemon inPokemon GOis only for players level 10 or higher. Then players can trade with anyone on their friend’s list that is within 100 meters of each other. Usually, players can only trade once, but this week will allow them to trade with friends twice per day.

Reduced Cost for Stardust Trades

Hopefully players saved up a bunch of Stardust for trades during theStardust Blast eventlast month; they’ll need it for all the extra trades they’ll be doing, even if they are discounted! Stardust costs for trades have been cut in half for the Friend Fest, making those additional daily trades even better. Two for the price of one! Trading with friends cost in Stardust is based on how good of a friend players are with on another. Normal Pokemon normally cost players 100 stardust, so they will be down to 50 for this event. Legendary and Shiny trades will cost significantly more. So any trades players can make during the event will save them a lot of stardust.

With theanniversary Community Day coming up in December, players will want to save as much stardust as possible, and this is a great way to do it.

Damage Boosting

Speaking of making some friends, not only will players save Stardust during trades, but they will also be able to help out friends during raids. During thoseweekly Terrakion raids, players will be able to boost any of their friends that they bring along. All friends battling together will automatically get increased damage from their Pokemon team, so players won’t have to do anything special to get this awesome boost.

Research Tasks

If all of that wasn’t enough,Pokemon GOplayers will also have brand new Special Research to complete just for this event. Until the 2nd of December, players will be able to:
