A fan of Niantic’sPokemon GOhas shared their thoughts about the mobile title’s raiding system, saying that it would benefit from a feature found in the raids ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet. With raid battles being an important feature ofPokemon GO, the game’s community likely wants to see the developers tweaking the system to make the experience better for players.
Many fans ofPokemon GOare quite outspoken when it comes to their opinions about the mobile game. Some of them have been key in making Niantic keep, change, or remove different aspects of the title. The player base’s influence was heavily seen during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when Niantic implemented in-game workarounds for theneed of physically moving around to playPokemon GO. And the community continues to make its thoughts heard, especially when the developers seem to be making decisions about gameplay and features that the fans are not too happy about.

On Reddit, user Jordan11 shared their thoughts about the raid system ofPokemon GOand said that it would be better if it copied a specific feature of theraids inPokemon Scarlet and Violet. In the Switch title, players who attempt a raid on their own are given a party of NPCs that assist them in battle. This way, the chances of the player defeating the boss Pokemon will be higher. The Redditor said that the same should be applied in the mobile title, especially for players who are located in remote areas where there are not a lot of other people who play the game.
Jordan11 shared that there is some cost to physicallyvisiting aPokemon GOgymand if players can’t even find other people to raid with when they go, there is not much point in spending all that effort. Replies on the Reddit thread shared in this discussion of Jordan11’s sentiments, especially since many have already brought the topic up to Niantic. Fans may be disappointed to know that the developers continue to encourage fans to use social media to connect with other members of thePokemon GOplayer base.
However, given the extent of how muchPokemon GO’s development teamdoes listen to this community, there still may be a chance for the feature to be implemented in the future. Hopefully Niantic does something to reassure the player base that it continues to listen to their opinions on how to further improve the mobile title.
Pokemon GOis available now on Android and iOS.
