After weeks of leaks, datamines, and speculation;Pokemon GOplayers are finally once again facing off with Team GO Rocket. The bad guys are back with theLooming in the Shadows Special Researchand with another Rocket-themed event for players to take advantage of.
The Team GO Rocket Disruption event went live yesterday inPokemon GOand players around the world have been out battling grunts and catching Shadow Pokemon. The event is scheduled to last for about one full week, so trainers should prepare to take a break from catching themost powerful Unova Pokemon in the gameand focus on fighting the enemies for a few days.

There aren’t many active bonuses for trainers to take advantage of during this event, but there are some interesting changes to spawns and an unexpectedBattle Raid rotation. Players who are working through the Looming in the Shadows Special Research will likely want to take advantage of the event spawns and changes to help complete many of the Research tasks needed.

Team GO Rocket Disruption Event Features
Specific Pokémon have started appearing more often: Ekans, Meowth, and Koffing
Players are reporting encounters with Shiny Meowth in the wild or in raids
Raids will feature Pokemon that are significant to Team GO Rocket and the Team GO Rocket Boss, Giovanni
Team GO Rocket has started using the following Shadow Pokémon: Sandshrew, Bellsprout, Magnemite, Porygon, and Wobbuffet.
The Team GO Rocket Leaders seem to be the only Team GO Rocket members who now have access to the following Shadow Pokémon: Meowth, Scyther, and Sneasel
At this point, that’s everything we know about the ongoing event. As players continue to report their findings from the wild, more details about the exact list of increased spawns and possible Battle Raid bosses will be confirmed.
