APokemon Scarlet and Violetfan created an impressive paradox form for Feraligatr. Last year thePokemonfranchise welcomed the release ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet, which introduced the Paldea region and several new features.

Feraligatr was introduced in Generation 2 and is the final form of the friendly Totodile, one of the starters of the Johto region. It evolves from Croconaw starting at level 30 and becomes a bulky bipedal crocodilian with blue scales, powerful jaws, and sharp fangs. Its body has three red spines, one on top of its head, another between its shoulders, and the third spine at the end of its tail. In the games, Feraligatr appeared in the Pokedex of Generations 2 to 6, while in Generation 7, the Pokemon appears only inPokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. These games are the remakes of Generation 4,where Feraligatr is one of the highlights. In the anime, fans saw Feraligatr debut inPokemon: Johto League Champions.

User El-psy-congroo-01 has posted on Reddit their paradox form created for Feraligatr. Named Fera Sail, the Pokemon is no longer just Water-type and becomes Water/Dragon-type. According to the user, Fera Sail’s design is inspired by the Spinosaurus, which is the first known semiaquatic dinosaur. Fera Sail’s body follows the same idea as Spinosaurus, while the facial features are still reminiscent of Feraligatr. Although it is not in the Pokedex ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet, Fera Sail’s design makes one wonder what its chances would be to be among thebest Generation 9 Water-type Pokemon. The full post is available on Reddit.

With over 2,400 upvotes on the officialPokemonsubreddit, the El-psy-congroo-01 fanart greatly pleased other users, who left several comments including praise. Pokemon Paradox is one of the new Pokemon types introduced inPokemon Scarlet and Violet. This Pokemon type is divided into two subgroups: Past Paradox Pokemon have an ancient appearance, such as Fera Sail. Future Paradox Pokemon have a modern appearance and have also inspiredequally interestingPokemonfan art.

The fan art created by El-psy-congroo-01 gives the Feraligatr a satisfying retelling, creatively exploring the concept of past paradox by relating Fera Sail to a dinosaur. The idea of El-psy-congroo-01 even lives up to the original inspiration for Feraligatr while making the player wonder what it would be like to have this variant inPokemon Scarlet and Violet. Feraligatr is abig name inPokemonVGC, something that Fera Sail would also have a chance of achieving, as Dragon-type Pokemon are among the strongest Pokemon types.
