Pokemon ScarletandVioletplayers have found Samurott’s Tera Raid battle to be rather challenging, but there is a strategy that can enable players to solo this battle without too much fuss. Samurott is the final evolution of thePokemonfifth generation starter Oshawott, but in this case presents the additional challenge of having the Bug Tera Type as well as access to a variety of move types which make this 7-star Tera Raid an uphill battle for even the most seasoned players. It must be noted that players are required tocomplete the main story inPokemon Scarlet and Violetbefore this raid will be accessible.

Recruiting allies to take on Samurott’s Tera Raid may not always be convenient, but there are also somePokemon ScarletandVioletplayers who prefer to go at it alone for the extra challenge. With hundreds of Pokemon to choose from it can take a lot of trial and error to find a good solo strategy. SomePokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers may even try the special Lechonkwho is being distributed for a limited time via GameStop and has a Flying Tera type.

Pokemon ScarletandViolethas brought in Samurott as a heavy-hitting Tera Raidwith massive physical strength. Tera Samurott and can dish out Water, Dark, Bug, Dark, and Ground-type attacks. This range of attack types can devastate most teams, but it turns out that Annihilape fares well against this enemy thanks to its access to Screech and Rage Fist as well as its Ghost Tera type which grants a Same-Type Attack Boost (STAB) for Rage Fist. This method requires some EV training to get the most out of Annihilape with 252 Attack as well as 252 HP. To execute this winning strategy, open the battle with Screech to lower Samurott’s defense, and then simply spam Rage Fist until the target succumbs.

It is recommended to equip Annihilape, Primeape’s evolved form introduced inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, with a Shell Bell to help offset some of the damage it will inevitably have to absorb. If players have some PP Up items handy it is recommended that they use them on Rage Fist as a precaution against a drawn out battle. In the event that the effects of Screech get nullified, the Samurott soloist should use this attack again. Both Rage Fist and Screech are part of Annihilape’s natural learn set; it will acquire these attacks at levels 35 and 44 respectively.

It must be noted thatPokemon ScarletandVioletplayers will only be able to catch this Samurott once. Samurott’s Tera Raid event will be available until April 2, but will also be available between April 7 and 9 for those who need some more time to train up an Annihilape.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetare available now for Nintendo Switch.
