NowGhostwire: Tokyois nearing its March release date and fans are getting to see what the game is actually like. It’s time to decide whether to pre-order or not. PlayStation is hoping to capitalize on this initial excitement, even going so far as to discount pre-orders leading up toGhostwire: Tokyo’s launch.

The discount also applies toGhostwire: Tokyo’s Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition ofGhostwire: Tokyoretails for a price of $79.99. With the 10% discount, that price drops down to $71.99. The Deluxe Edition includes three days of early access to the full game, as well as a Streetwear Outfit Pack and Shinobi Outfit & Kunai Weapon cosmetic DLC packs.
Ghostwire: Tokyois a full-priced major release from a major developer that Sony’s licensing for console exclusivity at launch. Sony’s hoping to maintain a healthy content pipeline of releases that can’t be found anywhere else. With that in mind, the launch price ofGhostwire: Tokyois less important than persuading morePS5 ownersto play the game. Securing exclusivity is no good if PS5 owners decide to skipGhostwire: Tokyo. A discount will hopefully draw in more players, while also adding value to the PlayStation Plus subscription.
This discount is exclusive to the PlayStation Store, of course.Ghostwire: Tokyois also being released on PCon the same date it arrives on PS5, but PC players will have to pre-order at full price. However, sinceGhostwire: Tokyois being released on Steam, keys should be discounted at various PC gaming storefronts online.
If anything, the new discount forGhostwire: TokyoPS5 pre-orderswill call attention to the fact that it’s now available for pre-order and launching soon. The game’s delays up to this point may have led many to believe it wasn’t being released anytime soon. Now they can pre-order with a discount, a welcome surprise.
