In a Reddit post, a player shared how they triggered a hilarious bug while playingRed Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. The embedded clip shows protagonist John Marston shooting a couple of zombies in the face right before, at the end of a kill animation, he is suddenly teleported to a great height above Blackwater to eventually fall to his death. Throughout the freefall, the game’s physics notably causes Marston to move in an amusing barrel-like motion before ultimately hitting the ground. What’s intriguing is that a similar teleportation bug was alsospotted in the sequel gameRed Dead Redemption 2a few years ago.

In the comments, some fans made jokes at the author’s expense. While one user labeled the occurrence as a “skill issue,” another chipped in saying, “that’s [sic] some insane recoil.” Another comment likened the barrel-like freefall motion of the player character to a “shawarma skewer.” Apart from puns, there were also comments that praisedUndead Nightmareabout various aspects, ranging from its graphics to its music. Few other users shared their own bug encounters in the action-adventure game.

13 years after its release,Red Dead Redemptiongot back into mainstream discussion when the game was ported to Nintendo Switch and PS4 last August. While this ensured the seminal Rockstar Games title became available on modern consoles, the company was criticized for overlooking PC gamers once again. Even though there has been a recent leak suggestingRed Dead Redemptioncould make its way onto PC, there’s no concrete information on this yet.

Rockstar Games has not just stayed mum on a possible PC port forRed Dead Redemptionbut has also made no promises about the franchise going into the future. However, it’s worth noting that the publisher is fully focused onGrand Theft Auto 6, which is set to be the firstGTAtitle in over a decade and, hence, is one ofthe most highly anticipated games right now. Once the devs get the forthcomingGTAsequel out the door in 2025, it’s possible they will move on to the nextRed Deadgame, given the remarkable performance of 2018’sRed Dead Redemption 2.
