WhileRogue Legacy 2retained many of the unique gameplay mechanics from its predecessor, it did introduce some that transformed the game into an unforgiving Roguelike game. One of those features is challenging boss fights that closely resemble those found in a Soulslike game. And The Void Beasts Byarrrith & Halpharrr are a dynamic duo that can prove formidable unless players learn their attack patterns and prepare accordingly.
How to Prepare for The Void Beasts Byarrrith & Halpharrr Boss Fight
Before players tackle these devious bosses, they’ll want to prepare by obtaining a powerful insight buff found in the Gatehouse’s Observation Room. TheMissing Bodies Insightwill grant players a 15% Damage Buff increase toward Byarrrith & Halpharrr. The best part is that the buff is permanent, which means players will continue to have it even in a New Game+ playthrough.
Additionally, players may want to use the Duelist class since it gains an immunity buff while rolling, thanks to its Combat Roll talent. Alternatively, the Ronin class can also be helpful for this boss fight since its Talent (Immortal Kotetsu) allows players to teleport a short distance, damaging anything in between.

Phase One of The Void Beasts Boss Fight
During the first phase of the boss fight, players will only fight Byarrrith, which can prove challenging as it has lots of powerful ground smash attacks that can instantly kill the player. One of Byarrrith’s deadliest attacks is its leap attack, in which it jumps in the air and slams the ground, releasing several bones.
Players will need to time their jump right when Byarrrith lands since doing it too early will result in being hit by the “bone” shockwave. Byarrrith will periodically throw several large bones at the player, but these projectiles can be dodged or destroyed by the Spin Kick Talent (similar to the projectiles found in the Estuary Irad boss fight).

Once Byarrrit’s HP reaches 50%, it’ll summon Halpharrr, at which point the second phase of the fight begins.
Phase Two of The Void Beasts Boss Fight
Now players will need to fight both Void Beasts simultaneously while dealing with a new attack which has one of the Void Beats flings a giant bone toward the player. This Bone Fling attack cannot be dodged by conventional means, so players will need to use a Spell or Talent to avoid being killed by it. Additionally, players can use the walls (or even one of the Void Beats) to jump above the projectile.
Players will want to deal with the Void Beats individually since fighting them together will increase the odds of being killed. At this point, Byarrrith has only 50% HP left, so players tend to focus on it first and finish off with Halpharrr. But, players can use the Voltaic Circlet Relic (one of the best Relics inRogue Legacy 2) to slowly chip away the health of the Void Beasts without needlessly endangering their lives.
Once defeated, players will receive some upgrade material and gain access to a new area with another set of bosses the player can conquer.
Rogue Legacy 2is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
