More rumors about the possibility of the Nintendo Switch Pro have appeared, and this newest one hints at a new screen for the hybrid console. While theteases for the Switch Pro have been extremely exciting, there seems to be a varied twist to each one. The newest rumor from Economic News Daily points to upgrades to the physical component of the console.
Some of therumors for the Nintendo Switch Prohint at 4K capabilities, others say that the joy-cons will be changed. According to the report, Nintendo recently visited a Taiwanese manufacturer named Innolux Corporation. If true, the reason for the visit is apparently in regards to Innolux supplying the mini-LED screens for theSwitch Pro. This upgrade would allow the hybrid console to truly stand out as a handheld device. While the current screen certainly does the job, a mini-LED screen would be impressive, even compared to many smartphone devices.
From 4K to evenhealth tracking technology in the Switch, it is likely that not every piece of rumored information is real. But a new screen certainly seems like a solid possibility. Big N would definitely have a hot item on its hands if the Nintendo Switch Pro was able to both output to 4K to televisions and take advantage of a new mini-LED screen in handheld.
There have been so many rumors about a Nintendo Switch Pro, it is hard to keep up. But something is likely happening. Where there is smoke there is fire, and with so much pointing to a new Switch console, it is likely that at least some of the rumors are true.Insiders have claimed that the Switch Pro is indeed happening, but which rumor will be correct is a part of the mystery.
Perhaps the only valid argument against the Switch Pro is the current success of the standard console. It seems like every month theSwitch is breaking records. Early on in the consoles life, homerun software likeBreath of the WildandSuper Mario Odysseyhelped catapult the system to great heights. And Nintendo has continued to dominate with games likeAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. That being said, with the next-generation of consoles right around the corner for Xbox and PlayStation, it makes sense for Nintendo to upgrade its Switch, in hopes to continue its monumental success.
