Where to Find Fireworks in Sea of Thieves
Fireworks are one of thebest things added inSea of Thieves' Season 5and, fortunately, there are a few different locations where players can find them. To start, a ship’s Cannonball Barrel comes with Signal Flares, which function similarly to traditional Fireworks. There is a single Red and White Signal Flare per barrel on board.
Around the world, traditional Fireworks can be found in the game’s Barrels, Rowboat Chests, and Storage Crates. Barrels spawn all overthe world ofSea of Thievesincluding at Outposts, on islands, at Seaposts, at Shipwrecks, and even floating in the sea. Meanwhile, Rowboat Chests are found within the Rowboats that spawn on islands, while Storage Crates can be bought from the Merchant Alliance or found randomly on islands.

Firework Crates (boxes that typically carry between three and ten Fireworks) can be found among Barrels of Plenty, the group of barrels that appear randomly in the sea.Sea of Thieves playerswill know that there are Barrels of Plenty nearby when they see a small flock of seagulls circling in the air. These Firework Crates can also be found on beaches or even further inland on islands across the map.
Those players who are looking to ditch the randomness of attempting to locate Fireworks can instead head to their nearest Merchant Alliance stand. Firework Crates with 25 Fireworks inside can be purchased for 20,000 ofSea of Thieves' in-game gold. These carry themes and give players a variety of design options.

How to Use Fireworks in Sea of Thieves
Though Fireworks have a variety of designs that players can choose from, each one is used the same way. With a Firework or Flare in hand, players can approach any cannon just as they would withany of the cannonballs inSea of Thieves. The game will prompt players with the option to either take control of the cannon or load the Firework. Holding the prompted button will load the cannon and create a visible wick.
Players can then fire the cannon as they would with any cannonball. However, instead of an instant shot, the wick will burn down for 3 seconds before the Firework goes off. Players can even back out of interacting with the cannon to watch the Firework fly off into the sky and explode into its set pattern.

Sea of Thievesis available on Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
