Fans ofSilent Hill 2looking to collect series collectibles will be glad to know that a previously revealed James Sunderland statue has had its price and release window announced. The figure joins a line-up of otherSilent Hillmerchandise that was announced during the same spree as theSilent Hill 2remake’s reveal.

Silent Hillfans are anxious and eager right now due to Konami’s renewed interest in releasingSilent Hillgames. After years of dormancy, newSilent Hillgames likeSilent Hill fhave been unveiled,Silent Hill: Townfallwas announced, and more details were finally provided on the thirdSilent Hillmovie coming to theaters.

It’s been several months since theSilent Hill Transmission, and Gecco, the manufacturer behind some of the revealedSilent Hillcollectibles, is now ready to fully showcase James Sunderland’s figure. James is available for pre-order now for 42,000 yen, or $316 based on currency conversions at the time of writing. As previously shown, James is arriving in 1/6 scale, coming in at nearly a foot in height. James is set to ship between August and November of 2023, and pre-orders will close on May 31, so fans shouldn’t wait too long to get their orders in.

The James Sunderland figure can’t be posed, but like many other recent gaming statues and action figures, comes with a variety of weapons he can hold. The list includes his handgun, wood plank, pipe, and shotgun, as well as Pyramid Head’s Great Knife. The figure is the second in the newGecco line forSilent Hill 2, with Pyramid Head releasing first, and Maria set to launch sometime in the future. It remains to be seen if the figures will arrive prior to theSilent Hill 2remake, as Bloober Team hasn’t announced a release date for the title yet.

So far,Silent Hillfans seem to be cautiously hopeful about theSilent Hill 2remake, but it has a lot to live up to. Even a priorSilent Hilldeveloper has claimed that theSilent Hill 2remake is a poison chalicein that meeting fans' expectations will be extremely difficult. The pressure is likely only further increased due to the success of other survival horror classics likeDead Spaceand theResident Evilreceiving highly praised remakes. Bloober Team seems to be committed to giving the game the polish and attention it deserves, but even fans who shy away from the remake can at least enjoy these collectibles while remembering the originalSilent Hill 2with fondness.
