Picking up anXbox Series Xin the United States is an incredibly challenging endeavor, at the moment. Xbox’s cutting-edge next-generation console is limited in availability due to extreme supply line issues tied to computer components. Yet Xbox fans continue to wait in lines hours upon hours at retailers, anxious to spend $500. Would fans be willing to pay $10,000 for anXbox Series Xinstead? That’s a choice they’ll soon have, as today an Xbox partnership with Italian luxury brand Gucci was revealed.

Starting November 17, Xbox and Gucci will launch their first collaboration.Gucciexplains that it will release 100 limited edition and numbered Xbox Series X consoles, each having been “reimagined through archival details.” The consoles will be available to purchase at one of several Gucci locations across the world, including shops in New York, Mexico City, London, Milan, Berlin, Beijing, and Tokyo. It isn’t clear if Gucci will make Xbox fans wait in line.

The Xbox package that Gucci has put together is unique, to say the least. To start, it comes in a hard carry case featuring blue and red stripes with yellow trim. TheXbox logois emblazoned on one side and “GOOD GAME,” Gucci’s gaming branding, is on the other. The fabric of the case features a unique “GG” pattern. Gucci describes the case as “recalling vintage luggage” in a “subtle reference to the House’s origins.” For many, the case alone may be worth the price of the product.

Within the case will be a Gucci-designed Xbox Series X/S console, laser-cut with Gucci’s GG pattern. The console will also have a hand-painted number denoting which of the 100 Gucci consoles the purchaser has acquired. TwoXbox Wireless Controllersare also included, each with a red and blue stripe. Lastly, an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription will be included, though it isn’t clear whether it will be one month, twelve, or more.

Obviously, the Xbox and Gucci collaboration is intended to primarily be a marketing endeavor. Anyone looking for anXbox Series X consolewould be better served to check in with their local Best Buy rather than hope for a $10,000 Gucci Xbox. It’s unclear if wealthy Gucci fans will be clamoring for a rare Xbox Series X either, but both Xbox and Gucci must believe there’s a market for it.

TheXbox Series XGucci collaboration consoles will be officially available starting November 17 and, again, will cost $10,000 apiece. Outside of theXbox Game Pass Ultimatesubscription, buyers will have to purchase games separately.
