The great thing about theTMNTfranchise is that the four main characters all have distinct personalities. They change slightly between adaptations but for the most part, the core personas are there. Leonardo is the leader who is loyal to Master Splinter. Donatello is into gadgets and is kind of geeky.

Raphael has an attitude problem and likes to be sarcastic. And Michelangelo simply, to quote the original theme song, is a “party dude.”Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhemsticks to these ideals but dials up the fun factor to eleven. It’s the funniest script aTMNTmovie has seen and these are just some of the best quotes.
WARNING! Spoilers ahead!
8“If You’re In High School You Can Jack A Parade."
One of the best things about the movie is that the Turtles get to act like teens. They are not ready to be warriors yet and instead use their ninja skills to swipe food and supplies. They use these abilities to sneak onto a roof to watchFerris Bueller’s Day Off, theultimate teen movie. It’s funny that their idea of being a teen is hijacking a parade whenever they want.Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, as a movie, isn’t exactly the best role model for the Turtles to follow which makes this scene comedy gold.
7"We Don’t Even Have Nipples."
Splinter has one specific fear in the movie revolving around seeing his kids be milked for their mutagen. It’s a joke that keeps coming up with the response of “we don’t even have nipples” appearing as an excuse multiple times. While that is true, the turtle teens do indeed get milked later inTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. The machine is even called a milker, which is a huge payoff in this animated action comedy. This movie is not afraid to be controversial or gross, and the idea of milking a turtle is definitely up there as a wild inclusion andkids will love it.
6"His Name Was Ken…And Then I Ate Him."
The overall backstory to the Turtles should sound familiar to longtime fans of theTMNTseries. A bottle of ooze falls into a sewer, mutates four turtles, and then they become ninjas. In his overview of the events, Splinter also goes into his backstory which is newer.

Animals and humans did not like him except for a cockroach that Splinter befriended named Ken. After he dies, Splinter eats Ken because he is after all a rat trying to survive. Good thing this wasn’t Ken fromtheBarbiemoviethat he ate or else the audience would erupt in anger.
5"Murder The Shreks!"
The first big fight scene involves the Turtles chasing down some random thugs. They stole April’s scooter and they vow to reclaim it. After they reveal themselves to these thugs, the gang has a debate about what the Turtles look like. The consensus is that they look like miniatureversions of Shrek, which is when the leader screams this line. Another great thing about the movie is that it is not afraid to reference other media. Calling the Turtles Shrek is just the tip of the iceberg inTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
4"That’s A Take."
Eventually, the four heroes have a rendezvous with Superfly and his gang. Fans expecting an immediate fight were given a surprise when the Turtles joined up with the other mutants to hang out at a bowling alley. WhatTMNTfan could have seen that coming? In this chill session, things go slightly dark when Superfly reveals his plan to kill all humans and have animal mutants run the world instead. That’s when Raphael says this line awkwardly because it’s hard to respond to something like that. Sometimesvillains are just going to do villainous thingsand nothing can change their minds.
3"What’s Going On?"
There are a lot of great needle drops in the movie from “No Diggity” by Blackstreet playing in a training montage to a quick verse from Vanilla Ice’s “Ninja Rap” from the second movie. The best song contextually is “What’s Up?” by 4 Non Blondes which begins innocently enough. A few of the mutants and the Turtles are driving and jamming out to the song when Donatello suddenly hits the brakes and sends the mutants flying through the window.

Everything slows down and Mondo Gecko can be seen mouthing, “What’s going on?” It’s a double pun because he was singing the song before getting flung out a window.
2"Do You Need Help?"
Splinter, again, is terrified of humans because of how he was raised. Toward the end, a human reaches out his hands and asks if he was all right. Splinter is hesitant to accept but eventually, he does once he sees the news. This sudden change of heart should bring a tear to the audience’s eye because unity is a sweet sentiment. Ordinary people banding together to stop somethinglike a KaijuinTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhemis some powerful stuff. It just goes to show that humans are capable of anything if they unite for a common goal.
1"Bring Me The Shredder."
The final line of the movie is said by Cynthia Utrom, the head of TCRI. It’s a mid-credits scene to set up a possible sequel. Utrom has had enough of the Turtles and wants to stop them at any cost. She says this line to her head of security and a brief flash of Shredder is shown from behind before things face to black. Is Shredder going to be someone the Turtles, or the audience, has met before? Could it be a brainwashed Baxter Stockman? Only the sequel can say for sureandTMNTseriesfans are assuredly eager to find out.
