One of the types of Materia the player will find is Command Materia. This type offers Zack different Command abilities to add to his arsenal. Command Materia generally uses AP instead of MP. Additionally, they can be augmented through combinations with Support Materia. As a result, the best Command Materia inCrisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunionis well worth seeking out.
6High Jump
The High Jump Command Materia allows Zack tojump high into the air, potentially dodging attacks as he is airborne. When he lands, he will deal massive AOE damage. This is an effective skill for the early and mid-level game.
It can be obtained by completing the following missions: M1-4-4, M6-5-6, and M9-1-4. Alternatively, it can be found in chests in M2-5-5, M6-6-5, and M9-4-1. It is also dropped by the Sahagin Prince. Additionally, the player can fuse AP Up (Master) with Firaga Blade to create High Jump.

5Darkness
WhileDarkness doesn’t cost any APto use, it does sacrifice 12.5% of Zack’s HP. However, it damages all nearby enemies while ignoring any defense they have going on. This Command Materia should be used with caution because even though 12.5% may not seem like a very large amount, it quickly adds up when Darkness is used multiple times. It should be reserved for when the player needs to damage all surrounding enemies.

Darkness is a reward for completing missions M4-4-2 and M8-4-6. It is also dropped by Demons and Horned Devils. The player can steal it from Land Marlboro as well. There are three combinations that can be used to create Darkness: Graviga with Libra, Gravity with Graviga, and Gravity with Dash.
4Mug
Because of all the great items that can be stolen from enemies, Mug is one of the best Command Materia inCrisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion. In addition to allowing the player to lift key items off their enemies, it will also inflict damage in the process.
Mug is a reward from mission M1-1-6 andcan be stolenfrom a Lesser Demon. It has no AP cost to use, making it even more of an attractive addition to Zack’s arsenal. The player can also fuse Electrocute (Master) and Steal to create Mug.

3Hammer Punch
Hammer Punch is a costly Command Materia to use, coming in at 99 AP per use. However, the closer Zack is to full AP when he uses it, the greater the damage this Materia will inflict. What’s so great about Hammer Punch is the fact that it completely disregards the enemy’s defenses when attacking, allowing for more damage to be dealt.
The player can obtain this Command Materia as a reward from mission M9-3-1. It can also be found in chests during mission M3-5-1. If the player is lucky, there is a chance to use Mug or Steal to snag this Materia from the Vajradhara Kinnara enemy while they are battling it. Additionally, Magical Punch and Libra (Master) can be fused to create Hammer Punch.

2Magical Punch
Magical Punch has a cost of 99 MP to use and causes more damage output the closer Zack’s MP is to its maximum. This Materia completely disregards all Vitality the enemy has, dealing significant damage. The greater the player’s MP grows, the more powerful this skill becomes. As this Materia is leveled up, the player’s MP will also increase.

Magical Punch is a reward for completing missions M4-5-6, M5-4-2, and M9-3-4. The player can find it in chests during missions M6-5-5 and M7-5-5 too. It can also be stolen from the G General enemy.
1Costly Punch
The Costly Punch Command Materia will not use any AP. Instead, it consumes 1.6% of Zack’s HP, but its damage scales with his HP reduction. This Materia also completelydisregards the enemy’s defense, causing 38 base damage. It also allows the player to increase Zack’s maximum damage level to 99,999. In a situation where the player has the Break effect on Zack’s HP and his HP is higher than the base, the damage inflicted with Costly Punch will be 0.
Costly Punch can be foundvery late on in the game. It’s not until mission M9-5-4 that the player can get it from a chest. Additionally, it can be stolen from the Mako Ifrit in mission M9-5-1 but the odds are only 50/50 for success. Materia Fusion is the easiest way to obtain Costly Punch. The player will need to combine a Goblin Punch Materia with a DMW Limit Break Materia.
