An artist known as KikikPL on Reddit posted an image of a drawing that they made starring Ellie. The piece shows the character drawing her bow, getting ready to shoot at an enemy coming at her with a sledgehammer. The artist used an encounter that Ellie has with the game’s antagonists as reference, perfectly capturing the scene. While the drawing is in black and white, it has a great amount of detail, with aspects such as Ellie’s tattoo standing out. It is a phenomenal piece, encapsulating one of the title’s more memorable standoffs that gamers will have when playingThe Last of Us 2.
KikikPL’s artwork is gaining a number of fans. Many have commented that the piece is amazing and that it looks just like the reference that the artist was using. Many asked KikikPL if they sold prints of the work, to which they unfortunately responded no. When asked how long it took them to draw the artwork, the Redditor stated around 40 hours. One user complimented KikikPL on the detail, especially onEllie’s tattoo, to which the artist responded that it was the hardest part to draw.
KikikPL is just one artist out of many who’s created art based off of Ellie. On Twitter, an artist named Dian M.Z. posted a drawing of the character during one of the most intense scenes of the game.The Last of Usfan art featured neon colors, which were used to highlight different parts of the drawing. This is especially true for Ellie’s face, which is a deep neon red with glowing blue dots in her eyes. It helps capture the weight of what happens during that part of the game, as players see Ellie do whatever it takes to get closer to completing her mission of revenge.
