As the seven-star Tera raids for Samurott came to a close,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetrevealed the next boss to be featured in seven-star Tera raid battles. Just like the two bosses that came before it, this upcoming boss battle follows a pattern that experiencedPokemontrainers picked up on.Between late March and early April,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers faced off against Samurott, which had the Bug-type as its Tera type. Just a couple of weeks prior, a Flying-type Decidueye was the focus of trainers that wanted to catch these elusive starters. However, as Pokemon trainers noted, both Decidueye and Samurott were featured inPokemon Legends: Arceusdifferently, with Hisuian forms that respectively gave them Fighting and Dark as their new secondary types. However, when they were brought into Paldea as Tera raid bosses, Decidueye and Samurott appeared in their original forms and their Tera-type had an advantage over their Hisuian counterparts. As a result, the upcoming seven-star raid battle completes this Hisuian trilogy.RELATED:CEO and Vice-President of Pokemon Co-Owner Creatures Inc. Have Suddenly QuitAccording to Serebii.net, the next seven-star Tera raid battle in PokemonScarlet and Violetwill be against Typhlosion the Unrivaled, and it will have the Ghost-type as its Tera type. The battle will begin on Friday, April 14, at 00:00 UTC, and conclude on Sunday, April 16 at 23:59 UTC. However, trainers will have a second chance the following weekend, from April 21 through 23. Known as the Volcano Pokemon, Typhlosion is the final evolution of Cyndaquil, the Fire-type starter originally fromPokemon Gold and Silver. Like its predecessors Decidueye and Samurott,Typhlosion had a Hisuian formand was given the dual types of Fire and Ghost. Despite having the Ghost-type again as a Tera-type, the Ghost-type is weak to itself, keeping the pattern of having a type advantage over its Hisuian counterpart.
As for what Typhlosion the Unrivaled could bring inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, it will have the hidden ability Flash Fire, which absorbs Fire-type attacks and powers up its own flaming moves. Typhlosion has historically been a special sweeper, so special attacks such as Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, and Eruption are among the most likely to appear. It is also capable of learning Sunny Day to bolster its flames and be combined with Solar Beam for a potent Grass-type attack. However, Dark and Ghost Pokemon such as Houndoom, Umbreon, and Ceruledge may prove to be suitable options against one ofthe most powerful Ghost Pokemonto date.
After the raids against Typhlosion the Unrivaled have run their course,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetwill have another patchto fix some ongoing issues with the games. Only time will tell what changes the update will make.
