It seems that 2023 will be a promising time for the game.TheSimsteam recently released a teaser with a roadmapof what’s to come during this upcoming year. Fans are excited about the free Infants update, and they also can’t wait to see what the next expansion pack will focus on. But that’s not all the year 2023 is bringing to the table - a glitch that’s been around for over eight months is getting fixed at last.

Last year, after thecustom pronouns update, a strange glitch started happening inThe Sims 4. When players paused the game, Sims on the lot kept moving their heads and bodies but very slowly compared to the game’s regular speed. This bug is still in the game, months and months later, and it’s terrifying. The community has been waiting for it to finally be fixed, and, at last,The Simsteam has stated in their Laundry List blog update that this is one of the issues that will be resulted in the next game update.
TheSimscommunity has been sharing funny clips of circumstances in which this has happened during crucial gameplay moments; it definitely can be a terrifying thing to see in certain situations. Even streamers have become alarmed when they suddenly pause the game and their Sims keep moving autonomously. It’s strange that it’s taken this much time for the team to acknowledge this glitch and take care of it. Theglitch that made Sims be inappropriately mean at randomalso took longer than expected to be fixed. Perhaps the developers are busy with the Infants content update and haven’t had time to investigate minor bugs such as these.
Otherbugs inThe Sims 4will be fixed in the next update, but they weren’t as common or as shared on community forums as this particular glitch. Updates in the near future are most likely not going to disappoint fans either since it seems that great things are coming toThe Sims 4. Soon players will be able to download the patch, and not have to worry about their Sims being self-aware and moving on their own.
