The sequel toThe Walking Dead: Saints and SinnersVR game is going to be arriving sooner than fans of the original might have expected. TheMeta Quest 2 and Rift game was announcedin January, now it appears it’s going to be arriving sometime this year.
The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinnerslaunched in 2020 and allowed players to traverse the landscape of New Orleans after a zombie apocalypse wiped out most of humanity. The game offered a combination of hacking and slashing through zombie hordes with survival game aspects as well as users could pick up weapons and items in order to try and survive another night in that world.

Saints and Sinners 2was part ofthe Meta Quest Showcaseand debuted a brand-new trailer that shows off some new settings, some new weapons, and a confirmed release window later this year, if not an actual official release date. It appears the new game will also tie into the original, which makes sense sinceThe Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners 2picks up right about where the first left off.
Theupcoming Quest 2 and Riftgame’s trailer shows that the players will once again step into the shoes of the character known only as “The Tourist.” Wading through wave after wave of Walkers to try and escape the French Quarter of New Orleans. The sequel will offer new weapons to use in order to try and take out the hundreds of undead coming to eat The Tourist and the other survivors who have managed to live through the world ending.
Saints and Sinners 2is also going to do more than just pick up where the first game’s story left off. Decisions that players made as The Tourist will impact how this new title plays out. There will also be plenty of new decisions that people can make that will either help or hinder their escape from Louisiana in what will be a 15-20 hour campaign.
It appears that developer Skydance Entertainment has been working on this VR game franchise pretty much non-stop. While working on the sequel, it was still supporting the original, even launching a rathersizable update in the form ofAftershocks. That new pack of content came just about a year after the game got its Meatgrinder update. Now it appearsSaints and Sinners 2will be arriving on the Meta Quest 2, the Rift, and most likely PSVR headsets in a couple of months.
The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners2 is coming to Quest 2, Rift and other unspecified VR devices in late 2022.
