Hivju has minor symptoms, like that of a cold, but he fears for those who could be at greater risk. Providing hopeful sentiments, Hivju also begs that his fans to stay safe.

Kristofer Hivju had just joined the cast of season 2The Witcher, which initially planned on continuing production during the global crisis. It was originally theorized that since production was filming in the UK, cautionary measures weren’t yet in place. As of this last weekend plans for filming season 2 ofThe Witcherwere still in place.

Luckily, the production team announced on Monday thatthey would be delaying production. Whether or not this was due to the Hivju’s diagnosis is yet to be revealed, but it was smart to stop production. The spread of the virus has been running rampant throughout the world, and the best course of action appears to be self-isolation.

There have been cases of those diagnosed recovering, but the issue is how easily the virus can spread. Several large events within the gaming community have been canceled for this very reason, andofficials are urging people to stay at home. Hivju also encouraged his fanbase to take care of each other, keep a safe distance, and stay healthy. Hivju’s positive attitude helps ease the news and encourages fans that he’ll be back on his feet again soon.
