Turtle Beach has been one of the premiere names in headsets for a while now, but the company has typically kept things within a certain price and quality range. Specifically, its Stealth line has carved a nice niche for gamers looking for quality audio without breaking the bank. But the company hasn’t ever offered a premium headset, until the introduction of the Stealth Pro.
The Turtle Beach Stealth Pro is the company’s first big foray into the world ofpremium gaming headsets, boasting impressive sound reproduction, a diverse feature set, and bells and whistles that further immerse users in their media. At $329.99, it’s not going to be for everyone, but the Stealth Pro is a strong addition to the lineup of top-end gaming headsets.

What Does the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Retail Package Include?
Like most of Turtle Beach’s headsets, the Stealth Pro is available in either a PS model or an Xbox model. Both versions will work with iOS/Android via Bluetooth or PC and Switch through the included USB dongle, but there are some platform restrictions depending on which edition gamers buy. The Xbox Edition works with Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles as well as PS4 and PS5 via the dongle but the PlayStation Edition will not work with Xbox consoles. In our testing of the Stealth Pro Xbox model, we found it worked just as well on thePlayStation 5as it did on the Xbox Series X without any sacrifices, so multiplatform gamers should opt for the Xbox Edition.
The Stealth Pro comes packaged with the headset, a wired USB dongle that doubles as a battery charger, a second battery, and a nice bag for transporting the headset. It’s a retail package that meets all the expectations one would have of a high-end headset, with a sleek black look that won’t stand out as much as some other gaming headsets might.

And that’s one of the key selling points of the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro: it is built for gamers, but it doesn’t just have to be for games. With Bluetooth 5.1 support, the Stealth Pro works just as well with any device with Bluetooth connectivity. The 50mm Nanoclear drivers produce sound that is crisp but it packs enough punch to make the highs, mids, and lows distinct. And crucially, we never found them falling short when it came to audio quality for games, music, or movies. Gamers could easily take these on a plane and appreciate great sound while avoiding the awkward glances that some headsets might garner.
Exceptional Audio Features for a Premium Gaming Headset
Of course, gamers are going to want to use the included USB hub/battery charger, which connects to any port on a console and delivers lag-free connectivity. Turtle Beach says that each battery can last up to 15 hours but that can vary depending on which features users have active. But the great thing is that it’s easy to swap out one battery for another and get right back to gaming, or the HUB can give a dead battery a decent charge (about 3 hours' worth of use) in 15 minutes.
The sound quality is a definite highlight for the Stealth Pro - that’s a given. But beyond that, Turtle Beach has packed thewireless headsetwith a lot of features that take things to new levels. For example, the Stealth Pro includes Active Noise Cancelation that has a range of transparency options. With just the press of a button, a turn of the wheel on the earphone, or via a slider on the app, users can make sure that they are able to hear a phone call, or they can completely block out the world thanks to two concealed mics. The Stealth Pro’s removable boom microphone also has its own form of Active Noise Cancelation that will block out unwanted background noise and keep the focus on the user’s voice. In our testing, we found the microphone to be very high quality, delivering our voice without any distortion or background noise.

Because Turtle Beach is synonymous with shooters likeCall of Duty, the company prides itself on its Superhuman Hearing feature and it is exceptional on the Stealth Pro. Being able to pinpoint enemy gunfire or differentiate between the pitter-patter of footsteps amidst raindrops is what sets high-quality headsets apart from the pack, and Turtle Beach’s offering helps ensure the audio designers’ work is not lost in the shuffle. Everything stands out as it should and is crisp and clear.
Customize Everything With Turtle Beach Audio Hub
But not every gamer likes a specific sound profile, which is where the Turtle Beach Audio Hub comes into play. Through the mobile or desktop application, users can customize their EQ profiles to fit their own preferences, whether they like a bit more bass or would prefer the dialogue punches through the sound effects. The app can also set mic options like a noise gate but the key here is that everything is stored on the Stealth Pro itself. you may set an EQ for watching a movie on the Xbox Series X, jump to an iPad for a bit, and then finish it on the PS5 and the sound will be uniform across all those devices.
The price is likely going to be a significant determining factor when it comes to theTurtle Beach Stealth Probut it boasts a strong suite of features that justify that tag. As expected, the closed design of the foam earcups (covered in a leatherette material) are just as comfortable at the beginning of a gaming session as they are at the end. And for glasses-wearers, Turtle Beach has designed the cushions to alleviate any pressure on their frames with an adjustable headband that ensures a snug fit. Being comfortable is selling point number 1 for a headset and Turtle Beach has been excelling in that category for a long time.

It’s the sound profile and the customization that take the Stealth Pro over the edge, however, making this one of our favorite gaming headsets on the market. ANC deepens the immersion that is oftentimes overlooked when it comes to gaming headsets, and TB’s proprietary software and features like Superhuman Hearing will bring out all the details to a user’s specific preferences. Dual connectivity is also something many gamers might not realize is very useful, but being able to simultaneously connect a headset to a console and hear game audio and connect it to a mobile device andtalk on Discordpushes the Stealth Pro’s utility even further.
In our testing, there were not any areas where the Stealth Pro fell short of expectations. The design is solid, the drivers are some of the best around, and it offers so many customization options that anyone will love their experience with a pair. This is easily one of the best gaming headsets on the market today.
