For those who qualify, transferringUncharted4andThe Lost Legacysave data and trophies from the PS4 to the PS5 is fairly simple. OnceThe Legacy of Thieves Collectionhas been launched, players can choose the game whose data they want to transfer. Then select ‘Story’ from the menu screen, ‘Import Game from PS4,’ and then the specific save file to transfer. Once the data is imported, players should choose ‘New Game Data’ from the save screen to create a new save file forLegacy of Thieves.

Transferring save data and trophies is a great feature for players who haven’t yetfinishedUncharted 4orLegacy of Thievesand don’t want to lose progress. However, a quick perusal of social media will reveal that many gamers don’t plan to use the option. Like many games that offer PS4 to PS5 data transfers, doing so will likely create an entirely new trophy listing, and platinum trophies will automatically pop for those who have already earned them on the PS4. A large number of the comments on PlayStation’s announcement of the transfer feature are from people who wish to replay the games from scratch and earn all of the trophies again.

Uncharted: The Legacy of Thieves Collectionlaunches for PS5 on July 28, 2025, and a PC version will be released later in 2022.
