Vampire Survivors’newly added Adventure Mode offers standalone story mode experiences with unique goals and separate progression to the main game. Each of these self-contained stories features an assortment of characters from the main game and a set of new and/or remixed stages to challenge the player.
The first Adventure inVampire Survivorsis called “A Garlic Paradise.” This adventure stars Poe as he seeks out the Garlic Paradise in hopes of using it to make enough money to retire. Along the way he has to defeat tons of enemies and can locate various allies, which requires you to complete challenges in each of the stages. Unlocking all the usable characters, weapons, and stages in “A Garlic Paradise” requires a fair bit of work, so here’s how to do it.

How to Unlock All Stages in “A Garlic Paradise”
Players hoping to complete “A Garlic Paradise” will need to unlock each of its seven stages. Six of these are part of the adventure’s storyline, while the “Astral Bazaar” serves as a secret shop where players can unlock weapons normally unobtainable in this particular adventure.
Rough Awakening
Rough Awakening is the second stage of “A Garlic Paradise” andthe first opportunity players will have to unlock more characters and weapons.Gaining access to it is simply a matter of lasting for ten minutes in the first stage, “An Old Mad Forest.” At this point, players will only have access to Poe and a small selection of weapons, so players should prioritize the Garlic to take full advantage of its farming utility and amass some easy levels early. Grabbing the birds too will help to push stronger enemies back and create a larger damage area, helping Poe survive until the ten-minute mark. Keeping an eye out for the Pummarolla, which can be used to evolve the Garlic, is also a good call here.
Risky Woods (& O’Sole)
To unlock Risky Woods, players will need to once again hit a survival goal. This time, players will need to last for 15 minutes in “Rough Awakening.” Due to the availability of Adventure Merchants and free weapons to collect in “Rough Awakening,” this ends up being a fair bit easier than it was in “An Old Mad Forest.” Garlic is, once again, an excellent first weapon to prioritize as Poe alongside the two birds. Completing this goal also unlocks O’Sole as a playable character in this adventure.
Rotten Orchard (& Dommario)
Continuing the quest for Garlic Paradise, Poe seeks out an ally in the Risky Woods. Players should check their map and head for the question mark to locate a coffin in the Risky Woods to unlock the Rotten Orchard. Dommario knows the way to the Rotten Orchard, so players will need to get their character adequately leveled up to survive while they make their way to the coffin that contains Dommario. You will need to follow the path, zig-zagging from left to right and then left again,to find a path down to the part of the forest where Dommario’s coffin can be found.Along with unlocking the Rotten Orchard, this also makes Dommario playable in this adventure.
Garlic Paradise
To unlock the titular Garlic Paradise, the ultimate goal of Poe’s journey, players will need to enter the Rotten Orchard and defeat a strong enemy known as a Jiva Tree. One spawns at the beginning of the stage and chases Poe for the entire level, while several more will spawn as the level continues.Players should avoid them and grab the items at the top of the level, then gather some exp and try to rack up damage on it while they continue to lead it in circles. Once it dies, players will unlock Garlic Paradise.
Retirement & Astral Bazaar
To unlock the final story stage in “A Garlic Paradise,” players will need to hit level 50 in the Garlic Paradise stage. If players have unlocked Peppino in this adventure, and have access to the Mad Groove Arcana, this is a fantastic opportunity to do some limit-break shenanigans and go for a second objective at the same time.Players should make sure they have all the speed bonuses from the unlock menu for this adventure, allowing Peppino to move a little, and also grab all the Growth bonuses if possible. Players can also limit their weapon count. At the start of the round, grab the Mad Groove Arcana and collect the Pummarola and Garlic lying around the stage.
Once this is done, players can plant themselves in place and let the enemy crash into them and turn into exp. Grab an attractorb as soon as possible and max it out, then everything else is up to player preference. Weapons that knock enemies back are useful to reduce any damage from strong enemies that charge at Peppino, and players can grab the Blood Astronomica Arcana for a massive additional damage field. Add Candelabrador and duplicator for greater range and damage.

Unlocking the Astral Bazaar can be done at the same time by continuing up to level 80. The Astral Bazaar is a special stage with no enemies and a ton of Adventure merchants, which allows players to spend their adventure coins to unlock weapons and items that are usually not available in the adventure.
Characters
There are ten characters available in “A Garlic Paradise” and the majority of them are unlocked by finding their weapons in a stage. Aside from Poe, who players start with, the other nine are either unlocked after completing a particular stage or after collecting their starting weapon in a stage.
Antonio, Imelda, Pasqualina, and Gennaro
To unlock these four, players need to head for the second stage of the adventure: “Rough Awakening.“Each of these characters appears as a merchant in this stage(which can be seen on the map assuming players have unlocked the Milky Way Map in the main game) and their weapons are on the ground next to them. Players just need to head to each of the merchants and grab each of the weapons. Each character will be unlocked once their weapon is collected.
Pugnala
To unlock Pugnala, players will need to reach her coffin in “Rough Awakening”, which is marked by a question mark on the map. After reaching it in the upper right of the stage, players will need to eliminate the swarm of enemies encircling the coffin to open it and unlock Pugnala.
Zi’Assunta
Zi’Assunta is the only character that can be unlocked in two different ways. Players can grab a whip and the Vento Sacro, then evolve the whip (have a hollow heart item and max out the whip) into the Bloody Tear and max out the Vento Sacro. After this, collecting a chest will allow you to unite them into the “Fuwalafuwaloo,” which also unlocks Zi’Assunta. Alternatively, players can take the Mad Groove Arcana to the Rotten Orchard to access the Fuwalafuwaloo, which is normally hidden outside the arena and out of reach. This will also unlock Zi’Assunta.
Adventure Ascension
After completing every challenge in an Adventure, you can “ascend” the adventure, resetting all progress for a fresh start. This can be useful if you want to reintroduce a challenge after unlocking everything, or just take another shot at the adventure from the beginning.
