Dungeons are amainstay element ofWorld of Warcraft, and one of the original core features of the vanilla MMO. Similarly, inWarcraft RumbleDungeons come back as side content where players take on more challenging content for powerful permanent upgrades. Unlike in classicWoW, though, Dungeons can be repeated as much as players wish.

The Dungeon system does not unlock until a few zones in, but once unlocked, it’s a great place to grind combat XP and enhance Leaders at the same time. One Dungeon is available each week, and each week players can only take in specific leaders – this overview ofWarcraft RumbleDungeons should help players understand the system’s core elements and rewards, as well as how to unlock access in the first place.

How To Unlock Dungeons (& Other Requirements)

Dungeons inWarcraft Rumblearen’t available at the start of the game, and won’t unlock until players have made a significant amount of progress in the normal campaign. By completing levels in each zone for the first time, players earn Onyxia Sigils – when 30 total Onyxia Sigils have been acquired, the feature unlocks.

Tap on the fourth icon on the bottom of the main screen, the icon that looks like a blue dungeon entrance. Here, players will see what the weekly dungeon is, which bosses they can expect to face, and which Leaders are required to enter.

Warcraft Rumble Dungeons: Weekly Rotations & Relics

Weekly Rotations

After selecting a matching Leader and a starting relic, players face off against each of the threeextra-difficult bossesone after the other, and ultimately gain rewards based on their progress through the dungeon each week.

The Dungeon system inWarcraft Rumbleis not static, and players can expect to face new bosses with new requirements every week. These bosses and dungeons are all themed afterWorld of Warcraftequivalents, so when the Deadmines is available, familiar faces like Cookie and Mr. Smite show up as opponents.

In addition to the rotating Dungeon itself, each week is themed after a faction, and only Leaders from that faction are permitted to enter the Dungeon that week. So, a Blackrock week means that only Rend Blackhand or General Drakkasith can enter the Dungeon, though there are no restrictions on the troops in one’s army.

Relics & Items

At the start of the run, and after clearing each boss, players get to choose a Relic to empower their Army. These Relics vary all over the place, from giving troops Bloodlust when Leaders are played to creating poison explosions on troops' deaths, and more. These buffs only last for the current dungeon run, though.

After clearing each boss, players alsoget a little bit of Arc Energyand an item that functions as an extra Life in the current dungeon run. If players fail to beat one of the three bosses, the Dungeon run would normally be over and restart from the beginning without this.

Rewards For Partially Completed And Fully Cleared Dungeons

After clearing every boss, players get a small amount of Arc Energy, plus the standard combat XP minis get after every match. But, the real incentive ofdoing Dungeons inWarcraft Rumbleis for the full clear rewards. For beating all three maps and Dungeon bossesWarcraft Rumbleplayers are able to permanently upgrade their Leader and Army.

In addition to a heap of Arc Energy, doing a Full Clear of a Dungeon also rewards the Leader players used for the run with upgraded Army slots. These slots are associated with one of the mini types, like Flying, Horde, Unbound, and other traits. When a mini of the appropriate type is slotted into one of these upgraded spots, they gain temporary Levels. These extra levels come from how many upgrades a particular slot has received – a slot that has been upgraded three times will give a matching mini three bonus levels.

These bonuses don’t just apply to Dungeons, they still take effect in the regular campaign, too. Once unlocked, grinding Dungeons can be a great way to power up a struggling Army and take on more challenging late-gameWarcraft Rumblelevels and Heroics.
