Summary
Widely regarded as one of the scariest video game of all time,Outlastmade its debut back in 2013. Seemingly coming out of nowhere at the time, the firstOutlastbecame a bit of an overnight sensation, largely thanks to the immensely influential YouTube Let’s Play community. Since its debut,Outlasthas received just one sequel, though a multiplayer prequel spinoff,The Outlast Trials, is set to receive its full release in just a few months.
With a new game right around the corner, and buzz from its early access period giving the game some pretty positive press already,Outlasthas been shot back into the gaming public consciousness, and this newfound level of excitement would be the perfect opportunity for aDead by Daylightcrossover. Having already crossed over withResident EvilandAlan Wake,Dead by Daylightmay be on the hunt for its next video game collaboration, and anOutlastxDead by DaylightDLC has a lot of potential.

Outlast Has a Few Potential Killers to Choose From
TheOutlastseries has no shortage of horrific enemies and pseudo-bosses that could be used as a Killer for aDead by DaylightxOutlastcrossover DLC. One of the best choices would probably beOutlast’s Chris Walker. A gigantic enemy that chases the player throughout Mount Massive, Chris Walker would be an excellent pick for aDead by DaylightKiller, with his superhuman strength and senses paving the way for some interesting Killer abilities.
ADead by Daylightversion of Walker could be able to instantly grab players with his special ability, putting them immediately on his back if the charged attack lands, similar toWesker’s Virulent Bound abilitybut even more deadly. Alternatively, Walker could have an ability that allows him to tap into his heightened senses, allowing him to track Survivors directly using his sense of smell, or his sense of hearing.
Another great option for anOutlastxDead by DaylightDLC Killer would be Richard Trager, potentially the series' most well-known foe. With his gigantic bone shears being his defining feature, it would make sense for aDead by Daylightversion of Trager to have an ability related to the iconic weapon, such as a charged dash attack or sweeping move, thoughDead by Daylight’s Hillbilly and Leatherface Killershave pretty similar abilities already.
One of the most defining features of theOutlastseries is its first-person night-vision perspective, and ifDead by Daylightwas to ever cross over with the series, it would be amazing to see this feature come over as well, though it might take quite a bit of work. WhileDead by Daylight’s recentChild’s PlayDLCshows that Behaviour isn’t afraid to mix up some long-standing gameplay mechanics for the sake of a new character, implementingOutlast’s first-person night-vision gimmick could drastically change the game.
But bringing a new camera perspective toDead by Daylightcould also be extremely exciting for long-time fans. Survivors usually play in third-person while the Killer plays from a first-person perspective, but this has long been a cause many fans cite for the game not feeling scary after a little while. Forcing a first-person perspective on Survivors - and forcing them to play with a night-vision filter - could really shake things up forDead by Daylight, though it would likely take a lot of effort to produce new first-person animations.
