Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthhas many callbacks to the original game that go deeper than the recreation of theoriginalFF7. InFinal Fantasy 7,players were able to stumble across a unique enemy by the name of Test 0. This enemy couldn’t attack and just stood there during combat, crying out when getting attacked.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthhas brought Test 0 back, but this time on purpose. The creature’s assess screen says that the oversight of a Shinra Developer let this creature out. This, of course, is poking fun at the developer who left Test 0 creature in the original game. For those wanting to find this legendary creature, here’s where to look.

The Beast Battleground Location On The Map

Where To Find Test 0

To find Test 0, players will first need toprogressFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthto Chapter 8. In this chapter, Cloud and the party will be sent to theDustbowl below the Gold Saucer. In theeastern section of town will be a point of interest with the name Beast Battleground.Head towards the icon under the debris and down the large hole to find the Beast Battleground. Here, players can select a single character and fight beasts for the enjoyment of onlookers and a reward.

To face Type 0, players will need to complete the first two challenges. Thethird challenge will be “Sylkis Cup Final Round: Unknown Error,“another funny nod toward the initial incident surrounding this creature. After choosing a fighter, players come face to face with Test 0, who at first will just stand there and let itself be attacked.

Cloud Accessing Test 0

Immunities

Stone, Morph, Proportional Damage

After a few seconds of standing still and imitating the original Test 0, this one will spring to life and begin attacking the player. To capitalize on its weakness, be sure to bring a powered-upFire Materia. Test 0 is a fast-moving opponent and will charge around the battlefield, knocking the player over should they make contact, making ranged attacks your best bet.

Charge up ATB and focus on using fire magic to pressure and knock down the enemy. Towards the end of its HP, it will lie down andplay dead, indicating the best time to go all out and pressure itagain before finishing it off. The Beast Battleground is the only way to face this creature, but its inclusion is one of thebetter Easter eggsfor returning fans who know the secret.
