Destiny 2players who are getting excited about the idea of immersing themselves in the next big expansion are getting a bit of good news this holiday season. The preorder forDestiny 2: The Witch Queenis getting a discount at one online retailer as a part of theBlack Friday sales extravaganza.
WhileDestiny 2won’t be getting The Witch Queen expansion until next February, anyone who is certain they will be purchasing the add-on might want to snap it up now and get ready for fun later in the winter. Pre-orders are rarely discounted, even this time of year, as developers and publishers are likely hoping they can get full freight for the new content.

However, as part of Green Man Gaming’s Black Friday sales event, the online storefront is offering a couple of big preorders on the cheap. In addition toDestiny 2: The Witch Queen, Green Man is also offering a discounted preorder for themuch-anticipated fantasy gameElden Ring. Coincidentally, both games are due out in February.
The two games have roughly the same kinds of discounts as well. The site is offering three different ways to getThe Witch Queenthroughthe Black Friday sale. The Standard Edition of the expansion normally retails for $39.99 but users can now purchase a Steam version of the game for $33.99 while the normally $80 Deluxe Edition can be had for $67.99 for the Steam key.
There is also a Deluxe + Bungie 30th Anniversary Bundle that would normally cost $100 but has been marked down to $84.99 on the site. Finally, for those who aren’t all that interested in the expansion but do want to grab the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, it can be had for $21.24, marked down from its normal $24.99 asking price.
This kind of deal being offered through Green Man Gaming is interesting for a couple of different reasons. Perhaps the thing that sticks out the most is that despite thenumerous Black Friday saleson hundreds of games, preorders for games or expansions that are plenty popular likeThe Witch Queenhave been truly few and far between. It’s also worth noting that while Green Man Gaming’s sale offers the Steam key to redeem on that particular format, it isn’t being discounted in any way at the actual Steam Storefront. For now, it appears Green Man is the only way to get this deal.
TheDestiny 2: The Witch Queenexpansion will launch on August 09, 2025 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
