The Night Elves were independent duringWarcraft 3, but they officially joined the Alliance inWorld of Warcraft. That said, Illari Duskfeather’s existence implies there is a group of Night Elf separatists who dislike the Alliance as much as the Horde. While this small faction is unlikely to appear in the spotlight in Retail, they are a fascinating addition to thestory of the Night Elves inWorld of Warcraftas a whole.

Illari Duskfeather is far from the only secret hidden in Season of Discovery. Boarton Shadetotem, aTauren Rogue NPC added inDragonflightwhen the race/class combo was unlocked, appears inClassicThunder Bluff with a special quest from SoD Phase 1. Shadetotem claims to be from the future, when Tauren Rogues are playable, and provides a fun quest where Shamans can learn the ability to dual wield and unlock the Lava Lash Rune.

Season of Discovery is full of mysteries, and each phase of the servers will be adding even more to find.
