A prevalent issue inWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflighthas been the need to juggle daily quests around the game’s arbitrary quest log cap, and Blizzard realized that the best solution to the problem was a simple one, as the development team increased the quest log cap for all players by a significant amount. This comes as a welcome change for mostWorld of Warcraftplayers, as they would often hit the cap even while leveling throughout thezones of the Dragon Isles.
WithDragonflightreverting its changes to daily quests, this was the last problem players faced in the newWorld of Warcraftexpansion. As Blizzard sets the stage for the Vault of the Incarnates raid opening up on December 12, it was crucial to ensure a smooth experience for everyone else. Though it’s too early to tell, player impressions so far compareDragonflighttoLegionorMists of Pandariarather thanWarlords of DraenororShadowlands.

Blizzard choosing to increase the daily quest cap from 25 to 35 is the type of simple solution thatWorld of Warcraftwas sorely lacking with previous expansions. The change will allow players to pursue thereputations ofDragonflightwith ease, and avoid overwhelming them with an unnecessary chore of balancing the quests they can pick up, and the quests they need to do.
An underrated aspect of this change is likely the factor it might play in speed-leveling, asDragonflighthas seen players hit Level 70 in less than three hours on a reliable basis. Needless to say, this change has been met with an overwhelmingly positive reception across all media platforms, even on the notoriously capriciousWorld of Warcraftforums.
AsWorld of Warcraftplayers prepare to take on Raszageth in the Vault of the Incarnates Raid with the next weekly reset, Blizzard has announced that acrossover mount withDiablo 4is headed to Azeroth, with the Amalgam of Hate becoming the latest to joinWorld of Warcraft’s ever-growing stable of mounts. Though not a dragonriding mount by any means, this new infernal beast will ferry players to all the quests they might need in old Azeroth zones with plenty of style and flair. With the growing amount of expansion packs, raising the quest log’s capacity was an inevitability inWorld of Warcraft, but time will show if it will be enough.
