A new cave full of level 70 wolves has been added to the Burning Steppes–a leveling zone famous for being home to Blackrock Mountain, the capital city of theOld Horde fromWarcraft 1and2.

Players have also discovered new models for six major Orc clans, as well as new NPC entries for Durak and Rehze, the young children of Thrall. Lastly, players have discovered a new scenario called “The Old Frostwolf,” plus some new map textures located in Alterac Valley. These hints seem to indicate that Drek’Thar–elder shaman, interim leader of the Frostwolf clan, and major Horde NPC from theWoW’siconic Alterac Valley battleground–will play a major role in the newWorld of WarcraftHeritage Armor Questline alongside Thrall and his family.

With all of these clues together, players are starting to get a picture of what the Orc Heritage Armor Questline might look like. Orc characters may return to the Burning Steppes to seek out something from the old Horde and may pay respects to the major clans of the new Horde. The aging Drek’Thar has been wheelchair-bound sinceCataclysm, so many fans think the elderly Orc may pass away during the quest. However, it is possibleWarcraft’sThrall–son of Durotan, former Chieftain of the Frostwolf clan–may be able to introduce his children to his old mentor before he passes on in a bittersweet, emotional scene.

While many players would be sad to see Drek’Thar go, most agree the old Orc has more than earned his rest. If the upcoming Heritage Armor Questline looks anything like the scenario fans have speculated, it could be a moment as powerful as thememorable Stay a While quest fromDragonflight. Heritage Armor Questlines have historically been some ofWorld of Warcraft’sbest stories, so players will have to see how the Orc and Human ones compare when they arrive in Patch 10.0.7.
