A half dozen stories have been confirmed to be in the anthology, with tales involving Anduin, Thrall, Alleria, and Gazlowe coming in the collection, alongside at least two others. The award-winning authors penning these tales include both newcomers and veterans to theWorld of Warcraftstory circuit. Golden has written severalWoWshort stories and books over the years, and Alameda authored the recentWar of the Scalebornnovel. Robinson has written for cinematics and comics for many Blizzard franchises, includingWorld of Warcraft, and Valente had a story in theFolk & Fairy Tales of Azerothanthology collection. Dawson and Maberry are new toWoW, but the latter has written at least oneshort story forDiablo 4’s cash shop.
While it is far from confirmation, the release date forThe Voices Withinmight provide a clue as to whenThe War Withincould launch. Most similarWorld of Warcraftcompanion stories came out after their respective expansion’s launch. Considering this factor,World of Warcraftplayers can probably expectThe War Withinto be released sometime before November.
