Summary
In celebration of this year’s annual Smile Fest event, Good Smile Company revealed a first look at the figma prototypes for Princess Zelda and Ganondorf fromThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Though there are many figures of these two iconic Nintendo characters that have released in the past, these particular models will be some of the first official figures based off of Zelda and Ganondorf’sThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomincarnations. As such, someZeldaenthusiasts may want to keep these figmas on their radar.
Although the hobby product manufacturer Good Smile Company is perhaps best-known for its Nendoroids, it creates and distributes a wide variety of other figures and paraphernalia based off of pop culture icons as well. Another one of its more notable product lines, for instance, is the figma series of action figures. These collectible models are rather popular; so much so, in fact, that Good Smile Company provides updates on the next figures it plans to create in the product line during annual exhibitions. At the latest of these events, the manufacturer shared information on some of its upcoming models, two of which arefigmas based off ofThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

During its Smile Fest 2024 livestream, Good Smile Company revealed prototypes ofTears of the Kingdom-inspired Zelda and Ganondorf figmas that are currently in development. The manufacturer didn’t provide any information on pricing or release windows, but it did share a couple of images depicting the upcoming figmas. The Ganondorf and Zelda figures were previously announced back in February 2024, alongsidetheTears of the KingdomLink figma. However, this is the first time that Good Smile Company has shared a proper look at the Princess Zelda model, in particular. Additionally, unlike before, the latest image of the Ganondorf prototype shows a fully-painted version of the figure.
Princess Zelda and Ganondorf Are Getting Their Own Figma Action Figures
Since Good Smile Company previously releaseda Link figma based off of hisThe Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swordincarnation, the Nintendo mascot’s upcomingTears of the Kingdomfigure will not be his debut in this product line. However, this is the first time Princess Zelda and Ganondorf will get their very own figmas, so this might be a big deal for some diehardZeldaenthusiasts. Unfortunately, fans may have to wait a while to get their hands on these figures, as it looks like they won’t be released anytime soon. At the very least, it seems like the Ganondorf figma is further along in production than the Zelda one is, so that one may launch earlier.
With the reveal of these figma prototypes andthe recent announcement of a newZeldagamestarring the titular princess herself, it’s been a rather busy time for fans of Nintendo’s action-adventure franchise. Following the massively successful release ofThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomlast year, the future of theZeldaseries looks brighter than ever before.
